So here are a few happenings we have not covered! STUCO Retreat STUCO plays a team bonding game during their retreat on September 21. Along with team bonding, lessons on how to be good leaders, planning for the school year, and STUCO responsibilities and expectations were just a few things that happened during the Friday afternoon group event. “We have a good group of people, with lots of gifts and talents,” said senior STUCO rep Bella Baugh. “We have enough variety that we’ll be able to get done what needs to be done. We’re trying to add some new activities into the mix, so that will be fun.” Little Eagle Cheer Clinic Preschoolers through 5th graders perform the iconic football cheers like “Boom Dynamite” & “Red Hot” with help from the PC Cheer Squad. The future cheerleaders learned the routine at the Little Eagles Cheer Clinic on September 15 and performed at the home football game on September 21. Senior Abby Te Grotenhuis said, “This year I was able to teach the girls their individual cheers and it was such a blast getting to know them. They were such a fun and energetic group! And I can’t wait to see what they’ll bring to Pella Christians future Cheer Squad.” Bio Field Trip Sophomores evaluate a local stream’s water contents. Biology students recently took a day to collect data on the quality of the water in the Pella area. In class this past week students have been analyzing their data. iClub Kickoff Senior Parker Schnell and junior Ryan Chi have some fun at the kickoff event for iClub on Saturday, September 22. International students and other members of the student body ate pizza, played games and prayed together. Chaos Day Students ran the gauntlet on PC’s first ever Chaos Day on September 26. Guy and gal D-groups teamed us as superhero team to compete in a variety of games, with Superman bringing home the championship.
