Although the spring blood drive is never as big as the one in the fall, the Life Serve team staff was very pleased with the turnout. Hosting the drive in the gym also came with some positive feedback. “I loved that it was set up in the gym instead of the bus. It was much less crowded,” said teacher aide Rochelle McClellan. Of the 17 donors, 7 were first timers, saving a total of 44 lives. Donor numbers are often down during the spring for a variety of reasons. “All of our spring athletes in addition to those who travel internationally during Winterim and Spring Break cut down on who are eligible to donate during this time of year,” said StuCo advisor Trixanna Wang.
