The varsity softball team had a great season overall, ending with a record of 21-8. “I thought the 2016 softball year was awesome in so many ways,” said head coach Karen Harrill. “We have an extremely talented, smart, aggressive, veteran squad that played against stout competition and did very well. Our confidence continues to blossom. Time after time, the team rose to new heights.”

In addition to their regular softball season, senior Brooke Mitrisin and graduate Courtney Johannes went to Italy to play USA softball, ending with a record of 5-1. They played 2 games each against Monte Cartini, Rome, and Milan. The highlights of Brooke’s trip were being in Italy and touring the country. “We saw the Colosseum, the St. Peter’s Basilica, and the Trevi Fountain,” said Mitrisin.
