Senior Daniel Mora Demestri qualified to run at state cross country which was held on Saturday, November 2. He placed 73rd out of 137 runners with a time of 17:56. Demestri said, “Running at the state meet was definitely a dream come true, which I couldn’t have accomplished without the support from my family, teammates, and coaches. I’m just glad all those hours of being in pain and waking up at 6am on Saturdays actually paid off.” At the State Qualifying meet on October 24 at Williamsburg, the rest of the team set many personal records with the girls team placing 8th and the boys team placing 6th out of 14 teams.
