Agriculture Class Restores Tractor

by Leah Z Osborn/

The Agriculture Class is restoring an old, donated tractor. This program will help the students involved to grow as a club and community. The class will take an old tractor and completely recondition it.

The restoration will include replacing the wheels, cleaning it, repainting it, replacing the gas tank, and fixing all the broken pieces of the engine. The group is meeting once a week to complete the tractor by their goal date of Tulip Time.

The main purpose of this project is to, “Bring our club together and to work and create something that we can show off to everyone,” says Kate Vos, a senior participating in this program. “The main goal is to actually get the tractor running and done because right now it is just a piece of metal that can’t really do much.”
