The Pella Christian girls volleyball team season ended with a sad loss against Dike New-Hartford. The volleyball team finished with a record of 18-17.
Many words describe this tough season. Junior Avey Amelse said, “One word to describe the season was challenging. There were many obstacles due to COVID-19, meaning many lineup changes and girls absent from practices. This can make the game very difficult to polish, but we rose above those challenges in the end!”
Each game was different from the last. Despite the many changes that had to be made, the team never let that affect them. They fought through any obstacle they faced.
This season came with so many amazing memories for the team. Senior Morgan Heinen shared, “My favorite game that we played was the Oskaloosa game. We lost in five, but the first two sets of that game were the best our team has ever played as a whole. It was so much fun playing a tough team and seeing the potential our team has.”
The volleyball season ended with a sad loss, but they rose above expectations throughout the season. They showed everyone what they are made of and they fought to the end.
