Although it’s been very different, PC is excited to be able to have a basketball season this year. Not having the support of a larger crowd like they are used to has definitely been weird for the girls. Coaches Brad Engbers and Kevin Van Maanen and are very happy with the 20 girls that form the varsity and junior varsity teams.

When asked about his expectations for the season Coach Engbers stated, “Some years we are more competitive than others, and this year happens to be one that we have a few of the best players in the conference, in my opinion, so it will be exciting to see how we measure up.”

Practicing together every day after school has formed a lot of strong bonds. The team is especially close this year. They’ve started the season with 3 wins and 3 losses, and are excited to play EBF before winter break.

Anna Bonnet says, “I am very excited for this season, since it’s my senior year. I have really high hopes for what the team is going to do this year. It’s going to be a fun season.”

The girls are so excited to see what is in store for the season ahead. They are hopeful that they will be able to have a full season without any interruptions because of COVID-19.

Make sure to watch the live streams of the games on the PCHS Youtube channel:(https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCI_0kRnLvt7QA7LJ0fVg9gw) and support the team from home!
