After being planned and then replanned, the students of Pella Christian were able to experience Winter Formal. On the 20th of February, around 150 students joined to enjoy the first Winter Formal.
This year there were changes made to accommodate COVID-19 precautions. These included a prepacked dessert gift bag instead of a meal and scheduled arrival time to ensure lesser crowded gatherings.
“I understand that we are in hard moments because of COVID, and StuCo did doing everything they could do to celebrate such a great event: exciting entertainment, beautiful decorations, perfect organization, and delicious treats,” commented junior Alejandro Murdock said.
The entertainment for this year was hosted by Caleb Belzer, Jack Vos, Brant Vander Hart, and Zach De Vries. Even with the challenges and obstacles faced with planning Winter Formal, students still made the most of the event.
“I had a lot of fun, the pictures turned out cute and the entertainment was fun,” sophomore Jenna Van Maanen said.
