Junior Dominick Ver Meer and graduate Colten Uitermarkt placed 3rd in mens skeet competitions.

This summer the clay target team ended their most successful season since the program began in 2012, according to coach Danielle Pinegar. They took their talents to Marengo, Ohio, and competed in the SCTP National Championship, where they placed second overall. The skeet team and double skeet varsity teams both placed third, with the sporting clays team finishing fourth. Individually, graduate Colten Uitermarkt and junior Dominick Ver Meer placed 3rd in mens skeet competitions.

At the state level, the Trap Championship took place in Cedar Falls on June 6-9 with over 2,500 athletes, followed by the State Sporting Clays Championship in Pella on June 16. Graduate Colten Uitermarkt, senior Jacob Kelderman, and sophomore Emily Uitermarkt were all named members of the All-State Sporting Clays Team. The State Skeet Shooting competition took place in Waukee, with varsity placing second.
